Kathmandu, February

The number of social network Facebook users has decreased. According to a data released on Wednesday, the proportion of daily Facebook users has decreased by about 20 percent.

According to the American daily The Washington Post, Facebook has lost its daily users for the first time in its 18-year history.

According to the statistics, by the fourth quarter of 2021 alone, the number of Facebook users had decreased by half a million. The use of Facebook has declined, especially in Africa and Latin America. In the US and European countries, Facebook has been getting good response and users so far.

The main reason for the decline in Facebook use is believed to be that the younger generation does not use it much. The company recently rebranded Facebook to make it ‘meta’. But this alone has led to the conclusion that users are not attracted to using Facebook.

Similarly, the number of Instagram users of Facebook is increasing day by day. According to The Washington Post, the number of Instagram users has increased by nearly 10 million since the third quarter of 2021. Similarly, the number of users of WhatsApp and Messenger is also increasing.

Facebook is currently investing in various ads and new devices. It has spent billions on development of its reality lab alone. The company’s chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg said on Wednesday that the magazine would unveil the company’s new VR headset by 2022.

At this time, among the social media, Tiktak has given a big challenge to Facebook. Even CEO Mark Zuckerberg admits that the attraction of people has increased.
